1: Installation Concept

1⃣ Project concept: Based on my relationship with my father, the project explores whether relatives can be connected by objective blood ties without subjective emotional ties.

2⃣ The keloids are an externalisation of my father's blood connection to me (I inherited the keloids from my father). Once the keloids (i.e. blood connection) is gone, the connection between me and my father will also be non-existent.

3⃣ I started to think about which objects, when they lose some objective connection, will lose their meaning (become independent or die).

4⃣ Without the stitching, the garment will become a mere piece of fabric；

Without electrical connections, appliances are just a pile of scrap metal；

Without the screw connection, the door is just a wooden/iron plate；

Without the rhizome connection, the plant will wither and die.
