1⃣. The themes of her works mostly revolve around the body and intimacy. But her way of expression is very special and breaks the habitual thinking. Usually we use familiar things to express the intimacy between people, but she uses these familiar elements, such as stuffed animals, old photos, old clothes, etc., to reveal the strangeness they bring to the viewer, and thus show the vulnerability of "intimacy".
2⃣：When "intimacy" does not exist in the private space but is displayed in the public space, "excessive intimacy" is in fact a manifestation of exclusive occupation of the public space. This is a curious discovery that Annette uses to great effect.
3⃣：By viewing her work, I think distance is an important point when intimacy is placed in a public space. In modern society, intimate topics such as emotions are not as hidden in the public sphere as they used to be in public settings. However, more intimate emotions (psychological) still cannot be exposed.
